History of the "Frankfurter Äpfelwein Botschaft"
Already the founder Philipp Possmann poured his self-made applewine in a Rödelheimer restaurant.
Peter Possmann, successor in the 5th generation now continues with this tradition.
After a structural and extensive restoration- the building served a variety of purposes for the Kelterei Possmann since 1937 first as a horse stable, then as a shop then as a gatekeepers house and lastly the house stood empty for eight years- the Possmann family together with the team from the Botschaft created a cozy restaurant for applewine lovers and some that are still to become applewine lovers.
Through the construction of the half-timbered building we paid close attention to preserve the historic structure and flair. You will find many pieces of furniture from the family collection that have been restored. The highlight is our “Stammtisch” from the founding father of the company, Philipp Possmann.
The Frankfurter Äpfelwein Botschaft carries its name for a reason correctly- with this restaurant we want our good applewine to be the talk of the town and legend, explains Peter Possmann.
Your Botschafter are delighted to welcome you and wish you an unforgettable experience at our restaurant.
